Bookstores

Once upon a time, Conroe had a small, family owned bookstore. It was located where H&R Block and Cici's Pizza is today.

I spent hours in this store looking at and purchasing books. One of the most prized jobs that I could think of was being able to work there.

Usually the owners hired someone who spent all four years of High School working at the book store.

I purchased my first copy of the Dungeons and Dragons game there against the wishes of my parents.

Eventually Hastings and Barnes and Noble drove it out of business. It was such a cozy place to look through the books and chat with the owners.
