Old Library

Have you ever been to the county tax office in downtown Conroe to get your car tags renewed?
If you have lived here long enough you might remember that it is in the old main branch building of the county library.

The long line of clerks who hand out car tags and scorn in equal doses are lined up in the middle of what used to be the children's section of the library. I spent a great deal of my youth there and now it is inhabited by evil minions of the tax collector.

Ever wonder how Woodforest Bank scored the only ATM machine in the tax office? Something seriously wrong with that.

I miss the old library because it reminds me of being a kid in Conroe. The New Library just reminds me of bad times. New isn't always better.
